About NEET UG 2019

National Eligibility Cum Entrance Test, which is in short called as NEET. This is a National Entrance Examination which offers the student admission in various Medical and Dental Colleges. The NEET replaced AIPMT, which was earlier proposed by CBSE (Central Board of Secondary Education) and MCI (Medical Council of India). The Exam offers an approx. of 90,000 seats (approx) in MBBS and BDS Colleges in India. Earlier, the CBSE was the conducting body of the NEET Exam, but now, the National Testing Agency (NTA) conducts the Entrance Exam. The Exam is conducted in the month of May every year.

The National Eligibility cum Entrance Test or NEET-UG is an entrance test, for students who wish to apply for medical course (MBBS), dental course (BDS) in government or private medical colleges in India. NEET-UG (Undergraduate), for MBBS and BDS courses, are led by the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE). NEET-UG has replaced the All India Pre Medical Test (AIPMT) and all other individual medical entrance exams led by states or colleges themselves.

Eligibility Criteria

  1. You need to have Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Biotechnology as their compulsory subjects in Class 10th and 12th and must have passed these subjects
  2. The Minimum Qualifying Percentage of Marks in Class 10th and 12th in these subjects varies from category to category. 50% for General Category, 45% for General-PH, 40% for SC/ST, and Reserved Category (Handicapped).
  3. Candidates who are qualifying in nature are also eligible to apply for NEET. For these candidates, they have to show their passing certificate at the time of the counseling round.
  4. Maths Marks are not considered in NEET Exam.
  5. Candidates must be Citizen of India, NRI, OCI.

About NEET PG 2019

The NEET PG 2019 entrance examination will be administered by the National Board of Examinations (NBE). The application process for NEET PG 2019 has started. The mode of conducting NEET PG 2019 is online only. NEET PG is a national level entrance examination conducted for admission to postgraduate medical courses in the country. NEET PG 2019 offers admissions to Master of Surgery (MS) and Doctor of Medicine (MD) courses in the country. NEET PG is the entrance test to be used for admissions to 50% of All India Quota seats and 50% State Quota seats (all the seats in case of Jammu and Kashmir state), seats in Central and Deemed Universities and Armed Forces Medical Services institutions.

Eligibility Criteria

Qualifying Exam: Candidates must have an MBBS degree or Provisional MBBS Pass Certificate recognized from MCI and must possess permanent or provisional registration certificate of MBBS qualification.

Internship: Candidates should complete one year of internship on or before 31 March 2019.

All India 50% Quota Seats: Candidates, those studied/qualified MBBS degree from J & K are not eligible for 50% AIQ.

If these candidates submit a duly signed affidavit declaring that they were nominated by the Government of India (under central pool seats) to do MBBS from medical colleges of above states, then they are eligible to participate in All India 50% quota counseling.
